All For His Glory. All For My Good
Written By Maddie Joy Fischer
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Consider this truth today. God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Friend, this means that the One who knows you best has your best interest at heart. Jesus continually goes before you, making a way for His plans and purposes to unfold. Not a detail goes unnoticed.
If you’re anything like me, this truth is easy to proclaim when I can see God’s hand at work, but much harder to hold onto when I can’t see or feel Him in a situation. It’s important to understand that this promise isn’t limited to the best circumstances in our lives. It applies to all that we experience. He is always working, even when we can't see or trace the evidence in the moment.
Even in the greatest challenges we face, Jesus is there, picking up the broken pieces and making something beautiful that reveals His glory. Not just for our sake, but so others can witness His power through our lives.
The evidence of God’s goodness and faithfulness is not based on how we feel, but on who He is. Be careful not to allow your feelings to determine the measure of your trust. Bring your questions, doubts, fears, and concerns to Jesus continually. Proclaim His promises over every part of the journey He leads you through. When you can’t see His hand, trust His unchanging nature.
With His faithfulness as your covering, you can confidently face and embrace whatever comes. This doesn’t mean it will always be easy or painless, but it does mean that nothing will be wasted. Through hardship, your faith is strengthened and Jesus draws you nearer to Himself as only He can.
On your best day, He is working all things together for your good and His glory. On your worst day, the same is true. Keep this truth before you and let it steady your heart in every circumstance.
For those who love God and are called according to His purpose, He is working all things together for good.
