Song of the Week: A Worship Song about Knowing He Will Provide

Have you ever found yourself wondering how everything is going to work out? Maybe you have looked at a situation that feels bigger than it should and you are looking for strength and answers. It can be easy to let fear and uncertainty take over and wonder how you are going to make it work.

But Scripture reminds us that we serve a good God who will provide for us. Not only in the easy times or when we can see the way forward, but also when we have no idea what is going on or how we are going to make it through.

Sometimes, God's provision comes in ways we never expected. Sometimes it looks like an answer to a prayer we have been waiting on. Other times, it looks like strength for another day, peace in the middle of chaos or a reminder that we are not walking through our circumstances alone.

That is what I love about this week's song, “The Lord Will Provide” by Passion. This song is a reminder of the words Jesus gives us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that He knows what we need. The Lord will provide. It is a reminder that God isn't just the One who provides what I need. He is everything I need.

We see this throughout Scripture. One of my favorite examples is when Jesus fed the 5,000. There were thousands of people who needed to eat and all they had was five loaves of bread and two fish.

They didn't have much, but Jesus didn't need them to have much. He took what they had and made it more than enough.

I think there is something so comforting about that. Sometimes, we look at what we have and think, “There is no way this is enough.” Maybe we don't have the answers, the resources, the strength or even the faith we wish we had. But our God is not limited by what we think is enough.

We can spend so much time trying to figure out the how that we forget who holds the answer.

Maybe you are in a season right now where you are wondering where your provision is going to come from. But you don't have to know.

You can trust that the God who has provided for you before is still providing for you now. His faithfulness does not change just because you cannot see what He is doing.

And sometimes, His provision may not look like what we expected. It may not be the answer we were hoping for or come in the timing we wanted. But that does not mean He has forgotten us. He is still faithful, still present and still working.

So, instead of letting fear convince you that you have to figure it all out on your own, take a step back and remember who your God is.

He is good. He is faithful. He sees what you need, even before you ask.

And He will provide.
