Not Lost, Just Led: Jesus Is The Way
Have you ever wondered why, even when you are doing everything right and your life is seemingly perfect, something still feels like it is "missing?"
From the outside looking in, your life is perfect. You have the job you have always dreamed of, and it pays well. You are doing everything you are "supposed" to do, chasing your dreams, building the life you have always wanted... But deep down there is a feeling of longing and a hint of loneliness. You try to fill this void with success, relationships, distractions, or control, yet you’re not even sure what could truly make it go away. What if I told you that the void you are feeling can't be filled by any of those things - that it can only be filled through a relationship with, and complete trust in, Jesus?
In John 14:6, Jesus says to his disciples, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."
What a powerful truth, one that can completely change the course of someone’s life. That void in your life can be filled by one thing and one thing only: Someone who will never forsake you. It isn't a fleeting feeling that will go away after a month or a year. Jesus is the way. Jesus is the truth. Jesus is the life - the One we look towards to guide us as we walk through life. He gave up His own life to save yours. He hung on the cross for you and for me, so that when God looks down on us, He doesn't see our sins - He sees us through Jesus. He was A man without sin, yet He died on the cross for yours. He was treated like a criminal, even though He was carrying out His Father's will.
Eternal salvation is at your fingertips, but it begins with putting your complete faith in Jesus. As it says in John 14:6, "No one can come to the Father except through me."
It is more than simply knowing Jesus. It is about surrendering to Him. Salvation isn't something that we can earn by being a good person, living the perfect life, or doing everything right.
Salvation begins with repentance - turning from sin - and accepting that Jesus is your Savior and was sent as a sacrifice for your sins. It means letting go of pride, releasing control and surrendering the belief that we can earn salvation without Him. It is about humbly asking for grace, for help and for love, even when we don't deserve it.
Romans 10:9 says, "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved."
You will be saved.
No question about it.
When you accept that Jesus is your Savior, the way, the truth and the life... the void in your life will be gone. The loneliness you once felt will be gone. Everything you thought would satisfy the void begins to lose importance, and you come to realize that Jesus is all you’ve ever truly needed.
He is your best friend. He is your comforter. He is your provider. He is your refuge. Most importantly, He is your Savior.
All it takes is a heart that is willing to put aside pride and control and humble itself to receive the gift of salvation.
