Song of the Week: A Worship Song About God's Intentionality
Psalm 147:4 " He determines the numbers of the stars and calls them each by name." Out of the billions of stars scattered across the sky, God knows every single one. He created them intentionally, counted and calls them by name. How special it is that this very same God knows you the same way.
He knows every detail of your story. He knows your thoughts. He knows the number of hairs on your head. He has heard every prayer whispered. Every tear, every fear, all your dreams and all the parts of your heart and past that no one else sees. What kind of love is that?
This week’s song of the week is "Known" by Tauren Wells, and every single time I hear it, it makes me emotional. This song is such a powerful reminder that we do not have to strive or be the best because God already sees and loves us. We are fully known. Fully loved. Not because of anything we have done, but because he is merciful and we are His

These lyrics are such a powerful reminder that no matter what we do, he will never turn from us. He sees everything about us, we are FULLY known. Nothing is hidden from Him. Not even the parts of yourself that you try to keep hidden or that you are ashamed of, He sees those parts and He still loves you.
Sometimes it is easy to feel overlooked in such a big world. It is easy to wonder if other people see the struggles you are facing, but this song points your heart back to the truth. That the Creator of the stars intentionally wrote your story and knows you by name. In his eyes, you are not forgotten. In His eyes, you will never be overlooked. In His eyes, you are deeply loved and fully known. in such a big world. Easy to wonder if anyone notices what you are carrying.
As you listen to this song this week, I pray it reminds you that you are worthy. You are beautiful. And the One who knows the stars by name, is intentional with your story and cares deeply for you. This kind of love is life-changing.
