Song of the Week: A Worship Song About How Powerful Our God Is
We serve a God who can bring the dead back to life. A God who doesn't merely restore what was lost, but revives what we believed was gone forever. A God whose power isn't limited by our circumstances or our doubt. That is the God we sing about in this song. As we listen, the lyrics become more than a melody; They remind us of the faithful God who never leaves us and never forsakes us.
This is the kind of power we celebrate this season during Holy Week. The resurrection wasn't just a moment, it was a victory. When Jesus walked out of the grave, He proved that nothing is impossible for God. Not Death. Not Sin. Not even the most hopeless situations we face.
God of Revival echoes that same truth today, the God who rolled away the stone and is still rolling stones away in our lives today.
"The darkest night, you can light it up."
He is our light when everything is dark and we are just wandering. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 118:105
"Let hope arise, death is overcome. You've already won, oh, God of revival."
1 Corinthians 15:55-58 "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."
The verses remind us that God didn’t just overcome hardships, but He overcame DEATH itself. In John 11:25, Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" When Jesus rose from the grave, it became the ultimate proof that death was defeated and God has the final say.
This truth is too powerful to leave behind in a song - it’s something we carry with us every single day.
