Song of the Week: A Worship Song About Not Missing God's Presence in Your Life

Life is busy. There is no denying that. I know me personally,it’s easy to rush through my Bible study or prayer because the day feels so full. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted and ready for bed. But that’s not how I want my faith to be. This song is all about asking God to slow us  down and to help us pause and recognize that He is constantly working in our lives, even when we don't see it.

"I don't wanna move so fast
May You be my first priority
And I don't wanna put You last
I just wanna give You all of me So slow me down
That's our prayer tonight
Slow me down"

These are lyrics I pray in the morning and at night. I ask God to open my eyes and help me realize that this life I am living is all for Him. I would not be where I am today without Him. My prayer is that I keep God as my first priority. He’s never an after thought or a rushed thought at the end of the day.

God is everything, and He deserves all of my attention - all the time, not just some of the time. Easier said than done, right?

What better way to remind ourselves that even in the chaos of life ,God is still working - and He deserves to be our first priority?
