Song of the Week: Worship Song about Freedom in God
There is something so powerful in sharing your testimony with others. When you accept God into your life and surrender to Him, He will deliver you from your sins and your past. This week's song is a powerful reminder that no matter what has had a stronghold in your life, God has freed you from those strongholds. He is THE chain breaker.
Life before finding God felt empty. There was no hope. No guidance. No conviction for doing the things I knew were wrong. I was living life on my own, yet deep down I knew there was something missing. It reminds me of the song Zach Williams sings, where he captures that same feeling.
"We've all searched for the light of day in the dead of night
We've all found ourselves worn out from the same old fight
We've all run to things we know just ain't right
When there's a better life, there's a better life."
There is a better life, and it is found in God. Each of us carry pieces of our story - the hard seasons, the moments we’d rather forget, the battles we didn’t think we’d make it through. It feels easier to want to keep these parts of ourselves hidden fearing others will look at us differently. But in truth, those parts of our story are where God's power shines brighter, overcoming the dark parts of our past.
Your testimony matters more than you think.
Sharing your story doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as talking with a friend at a coffee shop or standing up in front of your bible study group and sharing what God has done in your life. The most important part is being open and honest. It is about saying, "Here is where I was, and here is what God did to save me."
In 1 Peter 3:15-16 it says, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”
Faith was never meant to stay hidden. 1 Peter 3:15–16 calls us to be ready, to speak up about the hope we have. And sometimes, the most powerful way to do that is simply by sharing what God has done in your life.
Your testimony could reach someone in the midst of their own struggles and help them find God on their own. Somewhere, someone feels trapped in the same chains you once carried, and hearing your story might be the very thing that reminds them that freedom is possible.
That’s what makes Chain Breaker so powerful. It’s not just a song, it’s a declaration. It’s a reminder that we serve a God who breaks chains, who takes away the pain, who makes a way when there is no way.
"If you've got pain, He's a pain-taker
If you feel lost, He's a way maker
If you need freedom or saving, He's a prison-shaking Savior
If you got chains, He's a chain breaker."
The Storyteller Collection is one of the most powerful ways to share your story. Each charm is a reflection of where you’ve been and what God has done. It is more than just a necklace, it becomes a conversation starter, a reminder of His faithfulness and a way to carry your testimony with you wherever you go.
Tell your story for His glory.
